Meet the HuD Board

REV. DR. JOYCE ROSALIND ARYEE

Rev. Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee is the Founder and Executive Director of Salt & Light Ministries, a Christian para-church organisation that moti-vates and encourages Christians to be the best that God has created them to be. A Management & Communication Consultant, she serves on the boards of diverse organisations including Newmont Ghana Gold Limited and Newmont Golden Ridge Limited, Chirano Gold Mines Limited, College of Education – University of Ghana, The Roman Ridge School, Data Bank Ark Fund, among many others. She is The former President of The Bible Society of Ghana and the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Central University. In recognition of her immense contributions to the growth of the mining industry, the University of Mines & Technology (UMaT) conferred a Doctor of Letters Degree (Honoris Causa) on Ms. Aryee in July 2009. She has also received many prestigious awards including Ghana’s second highest national award, the Companion of the Order of the Volta in 2006. Central University recently conferred a Doctor of Letters Degree (Honoris Causa) (May 2021) on Dr. Aryee. His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Life Patron of the Millennium Excellence Foundation, conferred upon Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee, the “Millennium Prize for Leadership and Contribution to National Development” in recognition of her meritorious work in the areas of Motivation and Outstanding Clergy Policies in Ghana (July 2021).

Rev. Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee is the former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines where she served for ten years. She is also the first woman to head an African Chamber of Mines. Rev. Dr. Aryee has dedicated well over forty years of service to the public and private sectors in Ghana. She is the Executive Chairman of Harmonious Chorale and an avid promoter of Ghanaian sacred classical and choral compositions. She is a member of the Beach Chapter of Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship International and a preacher and teacher of the word of God.

MR. FRANKLIN ELEBLU

Franklin Eleblu is the Chief Software Architect and a part-owner of IT Consortium, a leading fintech company in Ghana. He has been a lead architect in developing software solutions that run millions of transactions for banks, mobile money operators, money transfer organisations and other financial industry players in Africa and beyond. He is a trained electrical engineer and certified project management professional with over 18 years of experience in the technology landscape in Africa.

Franklin loves helping others achieve their potential and as such is a great listener, a peer counselor, and a mentor to many younger people. He is a co-founding member of The HuD Group. Franklin is also passionate about music and audio engineering. He is an accomplished songwriter and a music director/producer and currently serves as the director of music at the Legon Interdenominational Church. He is married to Awuraa Amma Eleblu, and they have three wonderful children: Aseye, Kafui and Bubune Eleblu.

MR. BERNARD AVLE

Bernardino Koku Avle is a Ghanaian broadcast journalist who hosts one of the most popular radio shows in Ghana, “The Citi Breakfast Show.” He also created and anchored a highly-rated current affairs TV show on Viasat One TV-“The Ghana Report,” until December 2016, and serves as the Director of News Programming at Citi 97.3 FM in Accra.

Bernard produces and presents “The Citi Business Edition,” a flagship business analysis program that hosts business thinkers on a variety of contemporary business topics. He is a Founding Director of iJourno Africa- a fast-growing network of data journalism enthusiasts who mentor & train young reporters on the basics of knowledge-based journalism. Bernard regularly moderates local and international conferences. In 2007, “The Citi Breakfast Show” was named the “Interactive/Talk Show of the Year” at the BBC’s Africa Radio Awards in Nairobi, Kenya, as well as “Radio Program of the Year 2013 and again in 2015” by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG). Bernard was also recently named one of Ghana’s 20 most influential business leaders under 40 by the Business World Magazine. An Edward R. Murrow Fellow of Journalism and a Chevening Scholar, Bernard holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ghana and an MBA from Warwick University in the UK. Bernard is a Fellow of the fifth class of the Africa Leadership Initiative – West Africa and is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

MR. DAVID AVOR

David oversees the entire Reinsurance function at Vanguard Assurance. He is a Chartered Insurer and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK. He holds a BSc in Administration (Insurance option) and a Masters in Finance, both from the University of Ghana Business School.

MRS. KARIS E. SENANU-ADZOSII

Mrs. Karis E. Senanu-Adzosii is a Professional Counselling Practitioner, a Certified Professional Coach and works as the Assistant Emotional Counsellor at SOS Hermann Gmeiner College, in Tema – Ghana. Previously she worked for eight (8) years as the HR & Administrative Manager at Aviation Alliance ltd. GSA for Delta Air Lines in Ghana. She worked with a five (5)-member senior management team on strategy development and execution planning for companies in Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Cote D’Ivoire. Karis has a passion for broadcasting and has been in the Radio industry for 8 years and also engaged in Christian television broadcasting for two years. Karis enjoys volunteering with organizations that promote Leadership Development in the Youth. Thus, she has volunteered with The HuD Group Ghana in various capacities for the past 8 years; becoming CEO in August 2020. In April 2020, she became a member of YLGen of the Lausanne Movement.

Karis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, U.S.A and an MPhil in Guidance & Counselling Psychology from Methodist University College, Ghana. Karis’ primary mission in life is to use the gift of encouragement and counsel to give people a vision of themselves as noble, wonderful, beautiful persons capable of changing and being an agent of change in their world.

MS. AMMA ADU-MANTE

Amma holds an LLB from Mountcrest University College and attained her Qualifying Certificate in Professional Law from the Ghana School of Law. She holds a Master of Business Administration Degree with specialization in Strategic Management and Marketing Management from the Cardiff Business School. She is also a graduate of the University of Ghana Business School with a Bachelor of Science degree, Banking & Finance option.

As a professional banker, she brings a wealth of experience in transactions relating to Corporate Lending and Structured Finance, especially in the Public Sector. Amma is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana

MR. BENJAMIN K. AHUNU

Mr. Benjamin K. Ahunu has over 15 years experience in the Energy sector working in different capacities with the Volta River Authority and the Ghana Grid Company. His passion for leadership and youth development has propelled him to volunteer with organizations such as the HuD Group Ghana where he served as Country C.E.O From 2007 to 2013 and continues to remain a sought after speaker and trainer for HuD Seminars and Workshops. He is a product of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering as well as a Master of Science Degree in Economics (Energy and Natural Resource). He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Engineering and Management from Coventry University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Mechanics of Project Finance from Middlesex University, London. Again, he holds a Master of Business Administration in Project Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Mr. Benjamin K. Ahunu is undoubtedly one of Ghana’s top-notch Power Systems Planning Engineers whose relentless passion to contribute meaningfully to the development of Ghana’s energy market continues to earn him various leadership roles in Ghana’s power sector. What distinguishes Ben is not only his outstanding expertise and wealth of knowledge and experience in power systems planning, but his leadership style rooted in service and integrity.
