The HuD Group Ghana is a dynamic, international, Christian not-for-profit movement focused on the development of holistic emerging and established leaders. It was founded by Dr. Yaw Perbi and 8 other young people on 1^st May 2003(May Day). During the first meeting, Dr Yaw Perbi, the founder and first CEO of The HuD Group, shared his vision of an organization that would inspire and empower Young People to discover their purpose and reach their full potential. The eight other young persons in attendance at that first meeting consequently became known as the founding members. “The HuD Big 9” are namely; Amma Serwaa Sefa-Dedeh, Kofi Duodu Asomaning, Nana Addae-Mensah, Margaret Odotei, Franklin Eleblu, Adeleye Adetutu, Theresa Ani-Mante, William Obeng and Yaw Perbi. It was incorporated under the Companies Code of the Republic of Ghana in September 2003.
In September 2008, Inj. Benjamin Ahunu, took the mantle as country CEO of The HuD Group after the founding CEO had been sent on Peace Keeping Assignment with the UN in La Cote d’Ivoire. In August 2013, The CLiNS (CLUB iNSPIRATION) Group merged with The HuD Group and its CEO Dr. William Okyere-Frempong consequently became Country CEO of the HuD Group Ghana. In April 2020, Mrs. Karis Senanu-Adzosii was handed over the baton to lead the group.
Ghana is the birth country of the HuD Group and has for the past 18 years offered stellar personal and professional leadership development, mentoring and consultancy services to individuals, groups and corporate and private organisations in Ghana. These services have been implemented through programs and projects such as: Membership Development Courses, Monthly HuDdles, Start Right End Big, seXsense, Leadpreneur Charity Project, Junior Scholars Mentoring Program and the High School Leadership Campaign.
